Gone too soon

It’s been an emotional draining week. Three trips to the vet within four days time. And hearing a tragic story from part of our PW family.

Our young Great Pyrenees, Bailey, Ben’s sidekick and partner was losing weight.

She was always on the lean side, small for her breed, and never a great eater. But when I put my hands on her fluffy body one day and felt a very skeletal frame I called the vet.

To make a long story short, we found out she had not one, but multiple liver shunts. Not a condition that is conducive to life.

So today we said good-bye to our sweet, fluffy girl. She was just over a year old.

RIP Bales❤️

    Dear Jennifer,

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how losing a loved one when she’s so young can be devastating. I’ll think of you and your family with love and compassion in the coming days.

Take care of all your other little four-legged creatures and hug both two- and four-legged friends as often as possible.

    Much love,
    esther

  7. Oh, that poor thing. I am so sorry for you loss! Animals become a member of the family, without you even realizing it. I’ve lost several dogs when they were too young, its a tragedy.
