My new assistant

You all hear me moaning about needing an assistant at times as things get a bit crazy, busy here once in a while. 😉 hehe

Well, I got one! He comes with great references (I’ve know him since high school), you can’t find a harder worker and he can fix/mend/build anything (does all the work on our vehicles, motorcycles, tractors, etc. He built our whole house; framing, electrical, roofing, sheet rock, etc (the only thing we hired out was the foundation), and he works for room and board! Plus he’s tall, dark and handsome. Okay, I lied, hes’ not dark, that’s just tan and farm dirt. 😛

God works in mysterious ways.

I was thinking when he hit retirement age (which is still few years off) that he’d be around more to help me with the dogs. Well, the company he works for decided to close down their shop and move the equipment back to one of their other plants on the east coast. Since they had to have all the supplies shipped out here from the other plants, it wasn’t cost effective, even though this one west coast plant was making a profit. (They should be since they work their employees to the bone! Grr…don’t get me started). I’m sure it’s a blow to the area as that puts 100+ people in a small community out of jobs.

So hubby was forced into early retirement. Although I think he’s worked longer hours since he’s been off “work” and at home! Haying season makes for some long, tiring hours until it’s done.

So now I have the assistant I’ve been wanting. You should see my “honey-do” list. 😉

so happy your Honey do list will be gotten to:) As a Life Coach I always advise my clients make sure to give good “I” messages to keep your marriage wheels running smoothly. I really appreciate all the hard work you do, I am so thankful that you are here with me each day, I wouldn’t manage without you, I am so proud to be your wife, then you can sneak in a few , I need help with the puppies, I would love it if you could run to town, I cant wait to see you finish the new kennel etc. So keep your “I” message list going and we cant wait to hear the update as to how your new assistant is doing, I love cavapoos and have one of my own, as I am searching for his little sister or brother for the future I bumped into your site and read your blog each day. I really admire all the hard work you do and cant wait to expand my cavapoo family one day with one of yours. Enjoy the honey-moon too

I’m so happy you’ve found a silver lining under what could very well have been a dark cloud. What a blessing for you both. Enjoy this time with each other. 😊
