Dog class recap

A couple weeks ago was the end of our beginning dog obedience class. I took Cajsa (German Shepherd) on Tuesday and Justice (the Cavalier) on Thursdays.

It’s just a basic obedience class with a little agility thrown in for fun.

337They both attended regularly each week. (Although I could’ve practiced at home more than I did 😉 ) and passed their basic obedience course.

On the last night of class, our instructor holds a CGC test (Canine Good Citizenship). This is an AKC test/certification that a dog can receive if they pass some basic requirements.

335Here is a quick look at the test requirements. And it looks like Justice passed!

275He did it!

Cajsa, on the other hand, didn’t pass. But that’s ok, at least now I know what we need to work on!

yeah good job good for you, my cavapoo Smoochy is a therapy dog and must pass all of that too plus being around wheelchairs and such equipment. If you ever have the time Justice could be a great therapy dog too. I have no idea how you even have time for 2 extra classes each week amazing. 3 year to go till we get out next cavapoo and guess where we hope to get it from? You!!

    • Thank you! Yes, I’m hoping to sign him up for the next class (only four sessions) for the Community CGC (which is a bit more advanced). Class is fun and I love taking it (usually only offered once a year) even though it does take extra time out of my usual schedule. Good for you and Smoochy!
