I love seeing these envelopes in the mail😀 (Even though it means I just spent a chunk of money 😉 )

A couple of days ago I got this big stack!   :O

So what exactly is inside?

Well, these are certificates from OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals); which is a registry for health certifications. We do specific health tests on our dogs; eyes, patellas, and hearts. So the examining veterinarian must follow the testing protocol from OFA, examine the animal, record the results and sign the form. We then pay the fee to OFA and send the finished forms in. And then we get these valuable certifications back in the mail that state the vet has examined and found no evidence that the dog is affected.

It does take time and money, but I’m happy to know and share that our breeding animals are healthy! 🙂
