Puppies are cute, cuddly and entertaining. They are also messy, especially after we introduce the litter box with pellets. Granted they are good about using it to potty in, but they also think it’s fun to romp through! Sometimes mom gets inside and digs because she thinks it’s a great place to nap away from the kids, so the pellets go everywhere!

So the pellets are on the floor around the pen. Plus bunches of them (and food) end up underneath on the trays. It’s a constant job trying to keep things clean and tidy.

Then to add to the chaos, I dragged in my horse tack and spread it around the living room floor. Why you ask? Well, this summer when the fire was threatening and we got organized, I loaded all my tack into the trailer in case we needed to evacuate. Since I don’t have an actual tack room, but normally store this stuff in the garage, I decided to leave it in the trailer so it was easier to get to if I needed it. Well, the trailer either has a leak or it was just moisture from the cold and condensation which got my saddles and blankets wet. So where is the warmest place to dry things out? Well, the living room of course!

But all the things in the living room just became some new obstacles to see, smell and investigate during puppy play time!
