As of right now (10pm on Wednesday), I have matched fourteen of our twenty puppies. And I just got through sending out emails to those in the sixties on my waiting list. :O
I’m sorry if some of you are getting the shocking and surprising news that you may be getting a puppy. I know people like to plan ahead and not have this “surprise” just a few weeks before the puppy would be picked up.
But I try not to contact a bunch of people way ahead of where I’m working on the list, because I don’t like telling them “we might have a puppy available” and then have to contact them later to say “all the puppies have been matched”. :/
So I take bite-sized pieces as I go. The problem with that (and getting this far down the list) is that those people are not expecting a call or an email for an available puppy. So we’ll see how this goes.
We’re definitely going to make some changes with our puppy matching process for the next litter/s.
