I’ve been taking Shiloh’s puppies outside in the big laundry basket. But now they’re getting too wiggly and active. Chrys tried to make a break for it on our last wagon ride. And I don’t need any superman stunts and someone getting hurt!
So I’ve switched to dividing them between a small plastic crate and a soft carrier. They are contained and can’t escape and it also gives them new experiences in different-type carriers. They have a wire one in their puppy pen that they eat and sleep in.
To make each new crate/carrier experience enticing, I like to use cheese cut into many small pieces as a treat.
I always keep a big packet of string cheese around just for dogs treats/rewards.
Once I’ve cut in up in small pieces, I sprinkled in around the bottom of the crate/carrier
Then it’s time to load the puppies and let them discover the yummy treat inside!
Heading outside for another adventure! (Don’t worry, I’ve got my hand on that top crate when the wagon is moving).
