Along with our two precious girls going home on Sunday, I thought it would be a great opportunity for our boys to get some socializing. But then I didn’t want Dally to be left home with no company, so we loaded all three of them up Sunday morning also. So instead of hauling two puppies to Spokane on Sunday we (my SIL and I) took five!
Once we got the girls handed off to their new families and they all had a potty break in the back of the truck, it was time to load the three amigos back into their crates. Honestly, I don’t think I would have tried taking all three out if my sis hadn’t been with me!
Our first stop was The General Store in Spokane. This is a big store with lot of things from clothes to yard products to toys. Maybe that’s why they call it the general store.
The puppies had their first grocery cart ride! I put a big bed in the bottom, loaded the pups, stashed some small treats in my pocket and off we went.
Before loading up in the next grocery cart at the next store, they had another potty break in the back of the truck.
Then we visited At Home, a home goods store. It was also a really big store so we walked all over and then met some really nice people. They loved loving on the puppies!
Back in the truck again. I had the boys together and Dally in her own crate. They had a lot of crate time/practice and did so well! They were so good and quiet in their crates through all the driving and travel. And nobody got carsick!
Our last stop before leaving Spokane was to go through Starbucks for their first pup cup!
Now I always suggest that your puppy travel in a crate or a doggie carseat attached to a harness for safety reasons. These pups were in crate, but after I pulled into the parking lot, we got them out and put them on our last just to drive through the drive-thru line.
They were very curious and watched as the lady came to the window and chatted with us, then handed us our order.
We pulled out of the drive-thru then pulled over to give the pups their first sweet treat!
Boy, did they think that was special!
Then it was time to load up in the crates again and hit the road for home! We had a great day and the pups did amazing!
