Did you know puppies are born basically blind and deaf? The eyes start to open around two weeks of age and the ears open up towards three weeks of age. When the eyes open on a new litter at around two weeks of age they are finally looking like real puppies and not baby gophers. Soon their little ears will open too and they will really start to engage more in the world around them. I love this stage of puppy development!
