Wagonloads of cuteness!

Sage’s F1b litter are four weeks old yesterday. They are round and chunky and filled up the little red wagon for their photo shoot!

They are getting more mobile and interacting with each other in their puppy pen. I love when they start playing with each other. At this point it’s just biting each other’s faces…lol. Good thing there aren’t a lot of teeth present yet.

But their favorite activity is still sleeping and nursing from mom. Although a couple of them have taste-tested the soak puppy food.

And they’re using the UGOdog litter box….when mom hasn’t pulled the bed on top of it. *face palm* Sage does like to rearrange her “home” sometimes.

Today I switched out the UGOdog and gave them the “real” litterbox. This is just a rubbermaid-type container with the side cut down low for easy access for young puppies. I also switched out the bed for a blanket because the blanket is easier to clean the pellet “crumbs” off of.

We also introduced some cheese for future training sessions. First I have to make sure they like the treat and take if from my hand before we introduce the clicker. When they’re this young, I usually use whipped cream cheese. Some of them eagerly licked it from my finger. Others weren’t interested, so I just scraped a little on the roof of their mouth with my finger so they could get a taste of it. Next time those puppies will probably lick it from my finger.

The beginning stages of creating a cheese monster!😂
