Moving right along

If you don’t hear a lot from me it’s just because we’re super busy right now as you can imagine. Spring and summer will continue to be that way.

Besides caring for the wee ones with their moms, Raven and Sally, there are the Cavapoo “lovers” and the Cavalier “candy bars” to train and socialize.

We’re running back and forth to the groomer for several appointments for the adults that need grooming.

Hubby is working on some major construction projects. He’s turning the old horse run-in shed into a  storage/feed room. It will be nice to have a place for the wood pellets we use for litter boxes (we buy a ton at a time), the stacks of dog food (that I buy in bulk when it’s on sale) and the extra puppy pens, Iris pens, etc. That will actually give us room for the garage to be a garage (not that my truck would fit in there, but anyways…)

His plan was to then rebuild the horse run-in shed at the end of the storage room, but we decided on another plan. A few years back he built a tall pole barn for our hay storage. So he’ll make a new lean-to/run-in shed for the horses off the end of the pole barn. That will make feeding (especially in the winter) so much easier! It’s such a blessing to have a handy husband!

Plus I’m trying to get some seeds started and need to do some cleaning and organizing in the garden before we actually start planting early seeds outside. The plants more sensitive (like tomatoes and peppers) don’t actually get put outside until around Memorial Weekend.

And lastly, and it’s that time of year when Uncle Sam wants to hear from me with his hand out. As Ben Franklin said, “in this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes”. It’s something that stresses me as much as going to the dentist or doctor……

That’s for following along on the ride that is our crazy life! 🤪
