The queen

Today is the queen’s birthday. Reba turns thirteen today!

And she’s enjoying her birthday the way she likes to; napping! And might get an extra treat added to her dinner tonight.

Reba came to us from another breeder when she was two years old. At first she seemed very stoic, and indeed sometimes still is. But she quickly warmed her way into my heart and home. It probably didn’t hurt that no fence could keep her contained, so she had to become a total house dog.

She is totally “my” dog and will watch and whine when I leave and gets very happy and loud when I return home. Although she can’t hear the ruckus that she makes or anything else as she is stone deaf now. She is the “boss” and even the big dogs respect her. And of course she loves Ben, the biggest of them all. She sleeps with me every night. We’re kind of attached at the hip. 😉

It’s amazing how a little nine pound dog can make such a difference in your life. I hope she lives forever.  ❤️

Sweet! I think she’s our 7 year old cavapoo’s mother. Though our dogs name is Dosey, we sometimes call her princess, daughter of a queen.
