You probably see where I’m going with my title. *wink* I had so many great themes that people suggested for Winter’s litter. But probably the most popular was of course, the Olympics!
And since these puppies are all “gold” (apricot), I picked out some of the United States gold medal winners. There are so many, but of course we only have six puppies. (Congrats to all the Olympians!!)
I’m not one who knows a lot about sports or the olympics, but I did see a few snippets of the games as they passed through my instagram feed, so please excuse my ignorance if I don’t know a lot about these athletes.

The puppies are doing amazing and so darling at this age! They are wrestling and playing with each other, making little puppy growls and grunts. They are diving into the soaked puppy food with gusto. But of course still love nursing from mom, Winter. They are using their Ugodog litter box really well. In fact, I’ll be introducing them to the regular litter box with pellets soon. I like them to get used to the new one before we move them upstairs to the puppy room into a bigger space.
They’ve grown out of their ribbon collars and into the parachord collars. I try to get as close to the same collar for each puppy as we go from ribbon to parachord to regular collars. I have to change them as puppies grow and don’t have one particular type that works from newborn to weaning age. Sometimes colors get changed because I don’t have the matching color. For instance, “Katie” has been wearing a teal colored ribbon, but her new one is a tri-color of teal, green and blue. And when we change to “real” collars, it might change again.
And after we got their weights, I trimmed all their little toenails too!
They are all totally adorable. My prediction is that everyone is going to want Simone! Is she doing gymnastics yet?
She’s small with an attitude😂
