With the passing of our beloved Ben (our farm guardian dog) and the holidays coming up, we’re taking some time off from the blog. We’re going to enjoy some family time and just soak up the quietness of the winter season and we’ll check back in after the new year.

Dear Jennifer and family, I am so very sad to read this. They say that the depth of your grief mirrors the depth of your love. I know how much you loved Ben, and I certainly can empathize with what you are going through since I haven’t even scratched the surface of my own grief after losing Mishka 3 months ago. The very worse part of loving an animal is losing them. Take care of yourselves and hopefully you will be more successful at embracing those memories than I have been. So sorry to hear about Ben. I knew by your posts that he had health concerns but I was sad to hear of his passing. Hopefully your wonderful memories of such a good dog will help you through this difficult time.
