If you’ve been following the blog, you know I like to add to my dogs’ dinners to improve their diets. They get a high quality kibble but it’s just not the same as fresh food.
So I thought I’d share some of the things I like to add in case you’d like to know what you can do to improve your dog’s diet!
Veggies; these can be raw if you’re dog will eat them or lightly cooked (this is just a few I’ve used, there are many other veggies that dogs can eat.)
- Carrots
- Spinach
- Kale
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Sweet Peppers
- Pumpkin

Fruits (Absolutely no grapes or raisins!)
- Berries; especially blueberries
- Apple

Foods good for gut health
- Yogurt
- Kefir
- Fermented veggies

Meats, etc
- Ground turkey
- Ground beef
- Sardines (in water, low or not salt if possible)
- Bone broth (beef or chicken)
- Eggs

These are all used together or separate as toppers to improve the dogs diets and add more “fresh” food. I’m doing this to improve their kibble diet. I hope to share more soon on a new, improved food that we’ll be trying on our dogs that is completely balanced and fresh.
Thanks Jennifer…I’ve been following…thanks so much for this valuable info! Much appreciated.
You’re very welcome!
