Adventure boy

As we continue to work with little Blaze, he is spending less time with mom as we start the weaning process. He still isn’t gobbling his food down because he knows mom will be back from her break to top him off with her yummy milk. So the breaks are getting longer and he learns to be a “big” boy.

He sometimes complains when she first leaves the room to go on her break, but then he settles down.

He loves being with people. And he loves the other dogs! One day I loaded him in my sling to take hime with me for chores. He nestled in contentedly while I hauled him all over. When we were done, I let him out to run around and explore. He loved interacting with the big dogs.

The next day I loaded him in the sling to go do chores again, but as soon as I stepped out the front door and he saw his “friends” (Cajsa, Cody and Zuma) he immediately started wiggling and wanted out of that sling! I didn’t want him trying to jump out so I set him on the ground and let him hand out with the big babysitters while I tended to the chickens. But when I called “puppy, puppy, puppy!” he happily came running to me!

We’re introducing him to different noises, toys, textures to walk on up in the puppy room too. He enjoyed interacting the the singing cactus (it repeats what you say, so when a puppy whines or barks it repeats it back), the jumping, noisy monkey toy and the story reading, moving dragon. He doesn’t care what you show him, he’s interested.

He’s just a delightful puppy!
