As many of you know we kept two puppies from Shiloh’s litter of purebred Cavaliers last year; brother and sister Legend and Laney.
They’ve grown up nicely. Legend was able to attend basic obedience this spring and did well. Laney was scheduled to go too but I ended up sick and so we had to cancel on her class. So they both still need a bit of obedience work, but they’re both super sweet albeit a little wiggly and silly still. But they are just big puppies in adult bodies at this age in my opinion.
Since they turned a year old in April, it was time for their first adult check-up! Once a dog turns a year old we can get their first OFA clearances. We usually start at our vet with a general exam of overall health and then she does the patella exam and cardiac exam according to OFA specifications.

More loves for Laney❤️
And when I hear her enthusiastically pronounce “wonderful!” after thoroughly checking their hearts and patellas, I’m super thankful.
So they are on their way to growing up to eventually be Pinewood parents someday. In the meantime we’ll just enjoy their youthful exuberance!
