With the warm weather it was time to graduate Winter and her puppies into a puppy pen. Normally they spend the first few weeks in the big whelping crate. I don’t like to move them into a puppy pen too soon as it’s a big space and puppies get a bit lost. But they needed to move from the crate so Winter could spread out away from the pups and also enjoy better air flow through their home.

Winter is happier and the pups are doing well in their new space. I have the whole bottom grate of the pen covered with a big quilted blanket so little toe don’t have to be on the wire while they’re learning to crawl and get their sea legs. 😉 When they hit three to three and a half weeks, I will remove that and add their first litter box.
