It’s time!

Winter’s gorgeous F1b Cavapoo puppies are three weeks old today! They are the cutest little muffins! So scrumptious I could just eat them up!

At three weeks they are still sleeping and eating mostly, but they are also toddling around and starting to make little puppy growls and barks. They are not interacting with each other much or the toys I’ve added to their puppy pen. But that should start happening in the next few days. And in that timeframe we will replace the quilted pad on the bottom of the pen with their first litter box and a big bed. Between the two, that pretty much covers the bottom of the pen. And this is about the time they will start toddling off their bed and away from their sleeping area to relieve themselves. Which is the perfect time to put the litter box in. I always start with a commercial litter box called a UGOdog to start with. It’s comprised of a plastic tray with a grate over the top. It’s about the same height as the bed so it makes it easy for them to toddle from the bed to the box.

And since they are three weeks old, it’s time to introduce individual pictures and their names!

Since they were almost born on Independence Day (they arrived two day before on July 2nd), you know I had to go that route with our theme for the litter. As the years go by it gets trickier to come up with themes when we’ve had several patriotic litters. We’ve had one born near or on; Flag Day, Veterans Day, Independence Day (two times) and President’s Day!

I decided to go with types of fireworks for this batch! So let me introduce you to…

“Rocket” (male w/red collar)

2# @ 3 weeks

“Firefly” (female w/pink collar)

1# 14 oz @ 3 weeks

“Sparkler” (male w/black collar)

2# 5 oz @ 3 weeks

“Crossette” (female w/yellow collar)

1# 15 oz @ 3 weeks

“Willow” (female w/teal collar)

1# 14 oz @ 3 weeks

They are now three weeks old and I have had no takers from my waiting list. So that means these puppies will now be posted as “AVAILABLE” to the general public now. It will be first come, first serve. That means if you are seriously interested in particular puppy, you need to fill out the applications on the website. Once that is approved and we receive your deposit ($500 which is part of the puppy’s total price of $2700) we will hold that puppy for you!

We will also be sharing on the blog. So if you haven’t please sign up for email notifications so you don’t miss any news or announcements. And don’t miss any videos that we post on our YouTube channel so you can watch your puppy grow, develop and have fun! https://www.youtube.com/@PinewoodKennelsCavapoos

And also for folks who are just finding us! Our puppies are raised in the home with us with lots of love and enrichment and hands on interaction. When they go home they are using a litter box and also started on potty and crate training. They will have their first puppy vaccination, be dewormed, have a stool sample checked and a thorough exam by our veterinarian. Microchipping can be done by our vet for an additional $60 at the time of their exam.

These puppies will be ready to go home Sunday, September 7th. As a courtesy, we will be meeting our puppy families in Spokane that morning to personally hand you your new bundle of fluff! So please make sure you can meet that day before putting a deposit on a puppy. Puppies will go home with health records, food sample, toys, puppy instructions, a homemade snuggle blankets and other goodies.
