Yesterday hubby needed to go to town to grab some things for an upcoming backpacking trip. I needed to grab a couple things too, so we went together. Mostly I’m the one going to town for shopping, banking etc. He rarely does unless he needs to pick up something for a project. So it was a rare occasion but a prefect opportunity to bring the two Cavapoo puppies for more socializing. One of us could always sit in the truck while the other went to grab what they needed in a store.
Turns out hubby doesn’t get in the grocery store enough to know where to find things. So while he shopped for backpacking food items (he likes to put together his own meals instead of buying those expensive freeze-dried ones), the puppies and I got all of our errands done!
First we went to the local feed store to pick-up Reba’s special food. The queen is spoiled and gets Northwest Naturals raw. She used to be a picky Poodle eater, but now she reminds me it’s dinner about an hour before it really is. 😉
But first, a potty break.
Then we went inside to shop. It was pretty quiet so the store staff “babysat” while I grabbed Reba’s food.
Then it was off to our next stop, the bank. Thankfully they have a drive-thru. As soon as I got off the street and into the line, I hopped out and got the pups out of their crate so they could ride through and watch all the goings-on from my lap.
And after the teller was all done and sent the canister back through the tube, the puppies got to enjoy a tiny cookie that came in it! Once we were out of the way, but still in the parking lot, I put them back in their crate to enjoy their treat.
Then we headed down the road to our other farm/feed store. Here they got to have their first grocery cart ride.

What a fun day! We made a couple more quick, drive-thru runs, then headed back to pick hubby up. The pups were so good and quiet the whole time. And when we got home I sat outside while they had a potty break and some dinner.
And then watched them while they ran, wrestled and played.
