Yesterday I took Winter’s puppies for their first great adventure outdoors.

Of course, the big dog all had to investigate what was in the basket and say “hello” to the puppies. They are so sweet and gentle with them.

True to form, our two quietest puppies, Sparkler and Crossette weren’t too sure about things and stayed in their cozy, safe place in the basket. But Rocket, Firefly and Willow were almost instantly out of the basket and exploring this big, new world.

But don’t worry about our two quiet ones, they will soon be out exploring too. It just takes a bit longer for some of the pups to jump into a new experience.

We’re so thankful that we have the three big dogs and all the “aunts” and “uncle” dogs around to expose the puppies too. It’s super important for puppies to be exposed to lots of different kinds and different sizes of friendly dogs during their socialization period.
