Lyric’s puppies turned three weeks old yesterday. Here are their new pictures and weights. As you can see they are still teeny. I guess if I want to raise “mini” Cavapoos, Lyric might be the mom for the job!

Blanche~ 13.9 ounces at 3 weeks

Sophia~14.6 ounces at 3 weeks

Rose~14.9 ounces at 3 weeks

Stan~1# at 3 weeks

Dorothy~15.3 ounces at 3 weeks
In comparison, Sonata was the smallest in Lyric and Dickens last litter. All of these puppies weight less than she did at this same age (3 weeks). Sonata was around 7 lbs at six months from the update I got from her mom.
We kept Indy (formally known as Melody) from Lyric and Dickens last litter. She hit 10 lbs at eight months. She is built petite like her mom, but is going to end up a bit heavier and close to the same height.
Indy (Melody) is the merle parti in the top picture, Cammi (Sonata) is the Blenheim.
I don’t like to send pups home that are too small. Sometimes with the new home transition, puppies don’t always eat really well at first. With small dogs we have to watch out for low blood sugar if they are not eating well.
So for those that might be in the running for a Lyric puppy, I hope you can keep your options open for a possible date change for when this litter goes home. Currently, I have them leaving on February 20th when they are eight weeks old. If I keep them an extra week they would be going home with all of Sage’s. That’s twelve puppies I would be getting ready and hauling to Spokane to deliver. It’s doable, but would be a bit of a challenge for sure. The other option would be keeping them two extra weeks and have them going home March 6th.
For now, I’d like to keep our options open and just see how they grow in the next few weeks. I should hopefully have a date figured out by the time we match her puppies on January 30th.
They are strong little tykes and move about their home steadily. I have not moved them into the puppy pen yet. For one thing, Glory and her pups will have to vacate their small puppy pen and graduate to a bigger one upstairs first. And even if her pen were available, these five might get lost in that big of a pen right now. They are cozy in their large crate and I’m able to keep them warmer in there then I would be able to in an open puppy pen. So we’ll probably wait to shift everyone around until later in the week.

“What do we do with this?”

“I’ll try it!”

They are soooo cute! If you ended up keeping them longer would you consider to adjust the matching date too? So we can get the extra time to get to know them better and their size too?
I don’t know
Let’s wait;) Time will tell. Thank you!❤️🐶
They are so adorable and perfect size. Get my hopes up that I’ll hear from you soon.
