Yesterday was a bit crazy!
Glory was scheduled for a dental Wednesday morning and the Cavalier puppies had their exams scheduled for that afternoon (so I could pick up Glory at the same time). Unfortunately the vet had to reschedule those appointments to Thursday instead.
I had called my groomer a few weeks ago and started scheduling grooms for the dogs needing grooming and yesterday was the first appointment.
And then there’s Miss Sally the Cavapoo who seems to be baking those puppies in the oven a lot longer than I expected. She has been at home with her owners but they had to be out of town all day yesterday so she came down and stayed Wednesday night with us.
So hubby got up early yesterday and drove Glory to the vet and dropped her off. I did all the morning chores and checked Sally’s temperature (which was lower than it had been..99°).
The vet called a bit later and let me know Glory need some teeth pulled. Those smooshy Cavalier faces are counterproductive when it comes to easy teeth brushing and cleaning..*sigh)
She called again to let me know they were having trouble with their machine and she wasn’t sure if she would get Glory finished. They would do their best but she may have to come back to finish the dental. 🙁
Then about 11:30 I loaded up the Cavalier puppies (hubby was back home by now) and the three dogs going to the groomer (Sage, Summer and Lyric) as we had to leave for their noon appointment. The pups appointment at the vet wasn’t until 2pm but it didn’t make sense to drive to the groomer than back home to grab the pups then head to the vet (especially with the price of gas the way it is! :O)

(I was hoping to pick the dogs up at the groomer on the way back from the vet, but gave hubby a heads up that he might have to if she got done before was back that direction. The youngest was home to watch Sally if hubby had to run to the groomer.)
So I dropped the dogs off at the groomer and headed to the vet even though we would be at least an hour too early. I was able to monitor Sally with the camera and hubby was keeping an eye on her too.

Since we were on the road when it was the puppies lunch time, getting to the vet early worked out as I was able to turn them loose in the bed of the truck with litter boxes, food and water while we waited for our appointment. (We have a canopy now for those that don’t know, so there was no way for them to escape while I sat up front).

The pups did amazing for their exams. And the vet let me know that they were able to get things working and got Glory finished so she didn’t need to come back again for another procedure. Yay!
And we finished up about the time the groomer texted me that the dogs would be ready about the time I was in her area. Happy day!
And Sally, well as I write this Friday morning, we are still waiting on that girl to pop! Come on, Sally!
The Cavaliers at eight weeks!
