Winter has delivered some adorable little “snowflakes” Each snowflake is beautiful and unique and we’re so excited they have arrived safely!

As mother nature tends to do, they were born in the wee hours of the “morning”; the first one arriving just after midnight on Sunday.

Little Winter was quite the trooper as she entered into labor, first with some restlessness, then nesting and digging and finally the final stage of active labor with contractions. The first pup was the largest and it took her some determined effort to produce it. But she pushed through and did it on her own with me watching just in case she needed help. Each pup after was a bit easier and she did an awesome job.

She licked and cleaned and snuggled with each new puppy as they arrived. She’s been a great little mom so far.

Puppies are all doing well and have gained since their birth weights.

There are four boys and one girl. There are two blenheim (one boy, one girl), one black and  white and two merle parti pups. We couldn’t have ordered a nicer litter. Time will tell who has the curlier Poodle coats and who has more of the F1 wavy coat. Winter is a Cavapoo and daddy Bonus is a mini Poodle, this is an F1b Cavapoo litter. We find that about one third of each F1b litter will have a curlier Poodle-type coat and the other two-thirds tend to look like an F1 Cavapoo with various degrees of waves.

Puppies will be matched on Sunday, January 21st and go home on Sunday February 11th. We will be delivering the puppies to Spokane where we’ll meet their new families.

We will take names for this litter list up until Thursday before matching day. Names will be put in numerical order as they are on the main Cavapoo waiting list for matching. (So obviously if you’ve been on the list longer you will have higher priority on match day.)

For those of you who are new to our waiting list and the puppy process, let me explain a bit more.

Each week I will update with a new group photo of the puppies. Once they hit three weeks of age and their eyes are open, I will do individual puppy pictures each week and add it to the album. And once they start moving around I will start doing short videos as they grow, develop, play and learn. These will be posted on our YouTube channel. That way all the interested families can watch the puppies as they grow through the weeks.
