I invited some family and friends over for lunch after church. Hubby had a birthday this past week, so it was a post birthday celebration. The trouble was, hubby missed it entirely. With this very cold spell we are having, the pipes at his brother’s place froze. Thankfully, no pipes burst. He went to help his brother right after church and said “don’t wait for me”. So by the time they got done, we had eaten lunch and had birthday cake without him. Honestly, he didn’t care. He’s pretty easy going kind of guy.

But we had a nice time despite the missing birthday guy and took time to snuggle puppies after lunch.
