Well, our darling little Casanova has found his special someone. She’s been on our waiting list for a long time, but finally all the pieces fell into place and she was ready for this special guy! I’m excited for both of them.

And since she lives in another state and I know he’ll be flying to his new home with his mom, I’m starting now with getting him accustomed to being in and around the soft carrier. This is the type he will be transported in inside the plane, under the seat at his mom’s feet.

So today I set the carrier out for him to investigate for the first time. Then I put some yummy treats and a toy inside for him to find. We’ll continue to expose him to the carrier in the upcoming weeks so the ride home will be less stressful.
