You might have been wondering what might be coming next since our last litter of Cavapoos have gone home?
Well, I did have a couple girls that came in season and I put them with a boy. But unfortunately that boy didn’t get the job done. And I’m blaming the boy because it was Asher. And as I’ve mentioned before he’s not the bravest, most aggressive stud dog. (When I say aggressive, I mean assertive or forceful as a stud). He will even back off when the girl gets flirty and playful. He’s just too passive to be a great breeding dog. And one reason, I hope and pray one of Shiloh’s boys turn out so Asher can retire to couch potato status.
Granted one of those girls was a maiden (meaning she had never been bred) so it’s not completely his fault. I sometimes have to “help” in those situations. No, I’m not going into detail. ;P
Needless to say, neither of those girls are expecting.
But, I’m happy to say we did just have a successful dog “wedding” so I’m crossing my fingers that something comes out of that union.
I did something a bit different. I bred Winter with Clancy. Her other litter was with Bonus and we got some beautiful “cow” puppies. But I have so many people that want red/apricot, that I decided to use Clancy this time. They should produce an all red/apricot litter. And since Clancy doesn’t carry for spotting, they will all be solids with some possible white markings (think toes, chest patch, blazes, etc)

Of course, we will not be able to confirm whether she is pregnant or not for another month. So stay tuned for that confirmation. If she is pregnant, she would be due mid-July and puppies would go home mid-September.
