We almost needed an ark!

Okay, it wasn’t that bad, but it sure was a miserable day to have to take puppies to the vet!

It was rainy all day. I had to make several trips to the truck to load everything up. It’s like when you have a baby and you have to take all the baby paraphernalia; puppy crate, water, food, dishes, litter boxes, extra towels (because when you put the tailgate of the truck down to set up the litter boxes the whole back end of the truck is wet and dirty), paperwork, etc.

So I was already wet (so much for that raincoat I bought at Costco…) before we headed out.

I fed the pups lunch a little early, then set up the litter boxes and let them out of the pen to potty before we left. For some reason, even though they have litter boxes in the puppy pen, as soon as you let them out they want to go.

Then we loaded up (Indy too for her check-up) and headed down the rainy road. They fussed a bit since mom was in there too and they were nose to nose in two separate crates. After they said “hello” I covered them both up with a blanket and they all settled down for naps.

It was still raining when I got to the vet, so I quickly got the puppies out to let them use the litter boxes again. I didn’t get many pictures of our day since I didn’t want to be out in the rain anymore than usual.

We got called into our exam room and waited. And waited. Unfortunately the doctor had an emergency come in that she had to tend too. The puppies fussed a bit, but they did so good waiting in their crate. Our appointment started about twenty or so minutes late.

Peek-a-boo!

They all did so good; holding still for thorough exams, getting their ears checked with the otoscope, getting their temperatures taken (“oh my, what was that?!”) and getting distracted with a cheese treat while they got their microchips.

First it was Silver’s turn

Next came PewterThen came SterlingI’m obsessed with his blue eyes💙Next it was Tungsten’s turn

And last but not least it was Copper’s turn

Then we had another potty break, loaded in the crate with some food and water and heading home!

They were such good puppies!

And Indy passed her check-up with flying colors too💙
