I feel bad that this litter hasn’t gotten to enjoy the great outdoors and spend as much time exploring and meeting the big dogs because of our current weather. I almost took them outside when it was sprinkling yesterday morning, but then the rain picked and I didn’t feel like standing out there and getting drenched myself.

So when the sun peaked out in the early afternoon, I scooped the puppies up after lunch and we quickly headed outside!

They love it out in the garden. There are so many things to smell, see, hear and explore! They got to spend more time with the big dogs, met the chickens, climbed up and down the raised beds, explored a big crinkly, wet tarp, heard Zuma’s booming bark warning off something and heard my BIL’s four-wheeler chugging up the road past our house to name a few things. We practiced our puppy recall back and forth across the garden and when they were a bit unsure of something new they heard or saw loved on them and told them what good puppies they were. They payed me with happily wagging tails.

After I while we loaded back in the crate and heading inside for a much deserved nap; for them, not me. I had more work to get done!

And tonight will be busy with puppies baths and tucking them into bed early for our busy morning and the meeting of their new families tomorrow!
