Blaze graduated to the “real” litter box. Now the mess begins!

Seriously, I love that puppies can be so easily litter box trained at such a young age, but once they graduate to the litter box with pellets it does get messier. When they pee on the pellets the pellets disintegrate into sawdust and then the puppies, or puppy in this case (and mom) track it around. But it’s not hard is to vacuum or sweep up. And it’s so worth it to help the puppies learn an appropriate place to relieve themselves.

Soon Sasha and Blaze will move upstairs to the puppy room where they’ll have more space. Plus all the fun toys, obstacles and such are stored up there. Then the fun begins as we introduce Blaze to all kinds of stuff.

The bigger puppy pen also has room for a crate so he’ll learn how cozy it is to sleep in there. And we want him to be used to the pelleted box before he goes upstairs so he knows where in that new big space he is supposed to potty.
