It’s that time of year again when we’re cleaning out the garden and getting it prepped for spring planting! I love this time of year!
And since we’re working outside it’s the perfect time to get Blaze out and let him roam, explore and “help”.
I found some asparagus coming up already! It was hiding in the dead plants from last year that I hadn’t cleaned out yet.

My little violas are already popping up and blooming. Our boys planted some years ago and they just keep reseeding and spreading around the garden.

Last fall we planted some cover crops in the garden and in the raised beds to help put nutrients back in the soil. So it was time to cut them down. We’ll let the roots stay in the soil and the cut tops will just become mulch for the veggies we plant.

Blaze also thinks the chickens are pretty fun to visit.
