It’s good to get your puppy accustomed to a small table for handling and grooming. Your veterinarian, vet technician and groomer will thank you! And your puppy will be much happier not experiencing this situation for the first time in a strange and maybe scary place (for a young puppy).
We have a grooming table in the dog house for adults, but I have this handy kitchen cart I found at Costco years ago which has worked out wonderfully for training puppies. It has shelves for storage (great for treats and grooming supplies).
And since it has a slick wooden top, I added a small cushioned bath mat on top so the puppies has a stable surface when they are on it.
Then we practice things like being brushed, rubbing them with a pair of small clippers that are turned on, and using the hair dryer. It’s also a good idea to handle each foot and individual toes, the ears, around the eyes, and rub those gums with your finger to get them used to having their teeth brushed!

And remember to give lots of treats and do short sessions. Puppies learn very quickly at this age!
