With our hot weather we’ve been having lately, I’m trying to think of ways to keep the dogs outside comfortable; plenty of water, shade, a wading pool, and bringing them into their dog “house” when it seems cooler there. And last week I made them pup-sicles aka dog popsicles! They love them! I’ve been making them everyday for the past few days. So I thought I’d share the recipe here for anyone interested in making them for their canine friends.
First, I picked up some reusable freezer containers.
And some different kinds of dog cookies and treats.
I thought if I only filled filled them halfway with water, froze them and then did the other half, the cookies wouldn’t all be in the same spot.
But, when I added the new water to the frozen part, the big ice cube floated up anyways! So now, I just fill the container with the right amount of water, add the cookies and freeze.
Frozen and ready to serve!
A total hit with all the dogs! They loved them. 😀
This is now our summer afternoon treat!
