The Cavalier puppies

Some of you have been asking and some might be wondering about Faith’s Cavalier puppies. All the Cavapoos have been matched with their forever families, but nothing has been done with the Cavaliers. So I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on.

I planned and bred Faith to Dickens because Faith is getting close to “retirement” and I really wanted a daughter or two to grow up and carry on for her here. Well, as you know she didn’t just give me one or two daughters, but six! I was floored. That just doesn’t happen around here, especially when I really want it to (insert Murphy’s Law 😉)

Of course, most of you have been following our journey with little Hope. And lots of people have inquired about her and what are our plans. Well, at this point I don’t have any. With Hope it’s just a day by day thing. My hope is that she will learn to eat and drink normally and not need corrective surgery. If she does need surgery, we have to wait until she is three to four months old. So either way, she’s here for now, and that’s all I can tell you. I don’t know what the future holds. The only thing I do know is she will be spayed when she gets older.

But that still leaves me with five other girls from the litter. I know, I said I wanted to keep one or two. But right now, at this moment in time, they will all be staying here. When they are a bit older,  I will evaluate them and then decide if I want to find homes for any of them.

And then there’s that lonely little boy puppy. What to do? Yep, you guessed it. He’s staying here too; at least for now. His dad is our male Cavalier that we use for breeding and I thought he might need some back up someday. (I think I’m going to need to add on; my house and the dog house! 😉)

So there you have it. I’m sorry to disappoint those of you who were hoping for a Cavalier puppy. But Jennifer is being selfish.

But then again, I might change my mind in a few weeks after I’ve pulled all my hair out trying to train that many puppies! 😮
