With everyone hanging out at home during this time, I hear a lot of people talking about spending more time with family, or finally having time to get projects done, starting new hobbies, devouring lots of books they’ve had sitting around or binge watching shows on NetFlix. They are loving their extra time at home.
For someone like myself who already works from home and doesn’t go to town to often normally, our everyday routine hasn’t changed much.
For some reason I don’t have extra time. I’m not completing any fun projects, no books finished, no extra movie-watching, just the same day-to-day doggie routines. Now, I’m not saying I’m ungrateful that the “new” normal is basically my “old” normal (with the few exceptions of not seeing family or friends, “weird” emptiness at the grocery store when I do venture out, and my veterinarian’s office being closed). I love working from home, love what I do and glad that for the most part of my life it still “appears” normal.
But with that being said, I would like some time “off”. Don’t worry, we’re still taking care of puppies and all that fun stuff. I’ll still be sharing things each day to cheer you up too. And we’re still planning dog “weddings” so future puppies. *wink
I’ve just decided to close our waiting list for a while and stop taking applications. That will cut down on my work load and give me one less thing to work on and a bit more “free” time.
So if you have already submitted your application but have not sent the application fee or have been thinking about getting on our waiting list, but have been dragging your feet, you have until tonight (Wednesday, April 1st) at midnight to get the application and the fee sent in. (Please don’t send the application fee until I respond back after you submit your application forms; don’t forget there are two parts to the application forms).
