Glory’s puppies graduated from the downstairs small puppy pen to the large puppy pen upstairs and their first crate. They were’t really sure about all that space at first, but settled in quickly!

Puppy pen all set up and ready! They have their first crate to start sleeping in.

Puppy transport!

Checking out their new “home”.

“Action shots” When mom came back in they were very excited as you can see by all the blurry movement pictures.
Once Glory and her crew were moved upstairs, then it was time to clean up their small puppy pen and move Lyric and her babies in. It was time for them to have more space and be introduced to the litter box.

I splurged and bought a couple new dog beds just for them. They had higher sides and it’s a deeper, fluffier bed. Because they’re so tiny, I wanted them to have something they could cuddle into and stay warm in this bigger area.
I also have a hot water bottle wrapped in a small towel in the bed with them for extra warmth. With newborn litters I sometimes use a heating pad under the bed for the first few days. I left it in longer for this litter because of their size. But Lyric reminded me she doesn’t like heating pads and chewed the corner of it. Last time she chewed the cord in half! Thankfully it was between the pad and switch so she didn’t get zapped! The old fashion water bottle has been perfect for a little extra warmth when mom is not cuddled up with them. And their puppy pen is parked right next to our wood stove too.

Yippee, mom is back from her potty break!

Settled down for some lunch.❤️
Glory’s puppies have the most beautiful faces!❤️🐶
Thank you😊
Have you tried the microwave discs for keeping them warm? Virtually non chewable (for a puppy). I have used them in the winter in the car when we have a long trip.
No I haven’t. Will have to look into that. Thanks!
