That’s the life of a puppy; eat, play, sleep!

When I let Lyric out this morning for a break, I thought her babies would wake up. So I had set up a little blanket and play mat to let them explore on. But they had other plans….zzzzzz.

Then Sage went out for a break. Her pups woke up, but they’re not really at the play, explore stage yet. They’ve just starting “mouth wrestling” which seems to be puppies first “play” interaction with each other. They bit and grab each other muzzles and faces. It’s pretty funny to see. Luckily there aren’t many, if any teeth at this age so it’s painless.

And then there’s the big kids upstairs. I let mama Glory outside for a break. Then I went upstairs and set up a play area for Merry, Bright and Jolly. They eagerly came out of the play pen and dove right into the toys and obstacles that I had set up for them.

Then I came downstairs and let Glory back inside, gave her a treat and sat down to work at my computer. Poor Glory, chomped down on the treat and wandered around whining for quite a while. She thought she needed to go check on her kids even though I kept reassuring her that they were upstairs having loads of fun.

Finally she settled down for a cat nap.
