Sage’s seven seven-week-old silly, sweeties

And that they are! They are so sweet and absolutely love people and being loved on! In fact, you may have seen our recent videos, if I sit down I get the whole batch in my lap seeing how can get closest to me and attack me with kisses!

They’re having fun playing and bouncing around the puppy room. They desperately want to be in the same play area as Lyrics’ puppies, but they are just so much bigger. I don’t want Lyric’s to get hurt or intimidated. So they have to play amongst themselves. With all those siblings they always have someone to play with!

Since Glory’s puppies left, we’ve split the group into two smaller groups when they are in their puppy pens so they have more room. They have a crate to sleep in together and access to the litter boxes at night.

During the day we are practicing having meals in the crates. Before they were eating as a big group. Now, I’ve split them into three smaller groups of three, two and two for the crate time. Eventually we’ll have them each in their own crate for meals. Sometimes they gobble it up and other times, they aren’t as interested in the food and “demand” that I let them out of their crate!

Do you think I listen?

Nope, I wait until they quiet down and are calm and then I let them out of the crate. We always want to reward the good behavior we see (the quiet, waiting calmly puppy) and ignore the behavior we don’t want to keep seeing (complaining, whining, etc).

Here they are for their seven-week-old “portraits”. And since it’s still Valentines’ week, I had to make more cute photos with our kissing booth sign for this litter also. Aren’t they the sweetest?!
