The last week with a litter is always extra busy! Along with normal daily puppy activities, we’re continuing to work on crate training, socializing, getting puppies to the vet for their exams, keeping in contact with their families for the upcoming delivery, taking pictures, videos, getting puppy packets and paperwork together and all the other fun things that go into a week filled with busy puppies!

I wanted to also give the pups some one-on-one time and include them in my chores. But since the weather this week has been in the teens we had to make them short trips outside and with sweaters on to help keep them warm while they were there. So I split the chores up into little jobs to include each puppy. It made for a lot of trips in and out of the house and took a lot longer to do chores but it was good for the puppies.

Cheese treat before and after chores to make the carrier more fun. Grant is really getting into it!

They did super on the ride to and from the vet’s. And of course charmed the staff with their cuteness during the exams. I split the bunch between two crates to give them more room. So I took one crate at a time inside for their exams.

Stewart getting love.
Now time for his exam.
Good girl, Garbo.
You’re being so good, Brando.
Hold still, Monroe.
Hepburn loved Dr Jessie.
Grant is so patient.
Bogart stop sniffing so she can hear your heart.
Once they were all through with their time with the doctor I carry the crates (one at a time) to the tailgate of the truck so they could have a potty break. I thought about turning them all loose at once, then deiced against it since there are seven busy bodies. Hubby made a taller “fence” across the back which worked well. They could jump over if they wanted, but thankfully they didn’t try. Having the board there made it easier to see what they were up to in the bed of the truck versus having to put the tailgate up.

And now for their final “portraits” before their official family photos that we’ll share after delivery day.
