The fun continues

As most of you know, we had decided to keep Lyric’s litter a little longer because of their size. They have grown and blossomed and are ready to go home but we have this extra week with them so trying to cram in some more fun and continue training with them.

Tomorrow will be there trip to town for their check-ups.

But today we played with a puzzle to keep their little brains thinking. How do I make this work so I can get the prize?

Puzzles and games are a great way to keep you puppy busy and thinking. Instead of just going them a bowl of food, put their food in a puzzle or game so it takes a while for them to finish a meal and it keeps them engaged and learning. Of course, you always want to stick with simple ones at first so they can figure it out and get the reward. The last thing we want to do is frustrate a little puppy.

The one is super simple and the pups are quickly reward with a treat. It has four “flipper” doors that the treat is place under. They can easily push it down or “lift the lid” to get to the treat. I put dry kibble in two and cream cheese in the other two. They really enjoyed the game!

And we snapped some quick “weekly” pictures of them. They’re getting so big. I didn’t not do weights since that will be done tomorrow at the vet.
