California dreamin’

Our California pups turned two weeks old on Wednesday. Of course, they are growing and their eyes are starting to open. Other than that they are content to eat and sleep. In another week or so I’ll move them into the small puppy pen and introduce them to their first litter box. All of the pups are over one pound now.

The first boy is a darker apricot with “frosting” on his hair. At least that’s the best way I can describe his coloring. It reminds me so much of Spoof’s coloring (from Sally’s litter). I’ve put a blue collar on him.

The second boy has a green collar. He appears to be red or a really dark apricot.

The black & tan girl has a pink collar on. And her sister who is an apricot (her coloring reminds me of Bluff’s from Sally’s litter) is wearing the purple collar.

They’re all special and unique!

I’m getting lots of great names suggestions. I’ll post those next week when we do individual pictures.

Hi Jennifer, the name of this post, “California Dreamin”, made me think about the classic song, as sung by The Mamas and the Papas. The Mamas and the Papas are comprised of 2 females (Mamas), Michelle and Cass along with 2 guys (Papas) John and Denny. I know they don’t really have much to do with California outside of their song, but 2 girls, 2 guys and a song about California Dreamin. Just had to point it out. 🤷🏼‍♀️😃
