Christmas fun

We had a wonderful time at our son and DIL’s home for Christmas. We ate, we visited, we lounged with the grand-dog, we exchanged gifts, Facetimed my dad, and we had special visitors too. (The other two sons were on the other side of that state for Christmas).

In between the fun and festivities we met with two families and said good-bye to two special dogs; Presley and Gracie. It’s always bittersweet day when older pups or established adults go to new homes. But both of these sweet Cavaliers went to amazing homes.

Presley went to live with his new sister Lizzy who is also a Pinewood Cavalier. The family lost their sweet Cavalier boy, Quigley just within the past year so hopefully he can help heal their hearts from that loss.

I checked in later in the day to make sure they got home okay, because things were quite snowy and icy yesterday and got this reply… “Yes we did roads are good. Our river road is slushy but the truck did good. So happy to see you today. Presley did good all the way home. Tell your kids thank you for giving us some of your time so we could get Presley.”

And here is Gracie with her new family. <3 She already had Christmas presents waiting at home under the tree for her!

And this morning I had an update..”Gracie is doing great here. She’s so friendly and cute! And she’s uninterested in the cats so that is going great.”

It was a special Christmas for sure🎄❤️
