I had Bonus, Asher, Lyric and Raven scheduled for their check-ups back in October after we got home from our trip. I ended up rescheduling the appointment so we could not have to rush away from family and drive back from California so soon.

The appointment was rescheduled for Halloween. And then I had to rush back to California. It was the weekend so I just quickly messaged my vet and let her know what was going on and that I needed to reschedule it again. She was so kind and said she would take care of it.

They rescheduled me for yesterday. So the “kids” finally got in for their exams. But boy, did they look like country bumpkins. They’re all past due for grooms and baths. Thankfully, I just messaged my groomer on Monday and got all the dogs scheduled for the end of the month. But I couldn’t even bath them if I wanted to before their appointment. On Sunday, hubby noticed our hot water heater was leaking. So he turned the hot water off after the last shower that night.

He ran to town on Monday to get a new water heater and supplies, but also had to pick up three more big bales of hay for the horses so he was gone most of the day. Needless to say, I ended up having to run to grandma’s house for a shower. So thankful for nearby relatives and a hubby that can fix just about anything!

So I hauled my scruffy, dirty dogs to the vet and they got the best of care and thorough check-ups none-the-less. They all checked out wonderfully, except that Asher needs his teeth cleaned. He’s a booger about letting me brush or scale them!
