Last Saturday we had a potluck after church which I wanted to attend. But I didn’t want to leave Casanova home alone for a few hours, so I decided to take him along! It would be his first car ride and since it’s only a six mile round trip, it would be short and easy.
Getting ready
All dressed and ready for church!
I left late in the morning so I could let Indy and Cami out to potty one last time. Instead of going to what most people call Sunday school (we call it Sabbath school) which is the study part of church before the main church service, I just went for church.
Once we arrived, I gave Casanova a chance to use the litter box in the back of the truck, then tucked him in his crate with a couple toys and a chunk of Himalayan cheese to gnaw on. Then I went inside for church.

After church I came back, to offer him another potty break. Then gave him water and his lunch in his crate. Then I went back inside for my lunch.
I put his kibble in a cow hoof, covered the top with a layer of canned food and froze it.

Don’t worry, the weather was cool enough that he couldn’t overheat in the truck. It was actually a bit windy and chilly so I made sure the heater was one when we drove there to warm up the inside, gave his a little sweater and covered his crate so he’d be warm.
I offered him the use of the litter box again, wrapped him in a blanket and went back into the fellowship hall where people were still sitting around eating and visiting.

He wasn’t too sure of the situation but cuddled into me for security. It was very noisy with all the people and the kids running around after lunch. But he handled it and got loved on by lots of nice people.
It was good outing with the car ride, crate time and new friends. <3
He’s sure a sweetheart! What a great way to socialize him.
Thanks!
Casanova is an absolute doll! His beautiful face is precious
Thanks!
