I’m going to date myself, but those of you my age might remember the show “The Jeffersons” and the theme song. 😉 That’s what I think about when I write that title..heehee
And just like the Jeffersons, Winter and her puppies are moving on up(stairs) to the high rise apartment aka puppy room.
They were getting a bit messy in the living room. As any litter turns about five weeks old they not only use the litter box, but they dig and play in it and sawdust goes everywhere. This is also the age they need more room to play and explore. And also when I like to introduce them to the crate.
They had some place time downstairs first while I fixed up their new puppy pen, took down the small one and tidied up the living room again.

Then we had another practice session in the soft carrier and transported them upstairs.

The puppy pen is all ready with a crate with a bed and soft blanket, two litter boxes right outside the opening of the crate, food, water and toys. Once they get used to the new room and set up, I’ll set up a play area right outside the pen for them to explore.

Now to add puppies and let them investigate their new space!

And last night they had their first meal in the crate together. They didn’t mind one bit when I closed the door to let them eat while I cleaned the litter box. It helps so much to start training when puppies are young.
