Brrrr…it’s cold! I’m sure we’re not as cold as other parts of the country or getting slammed with their bad weather though. Since we still have hardly any snow the cold goes straight to the bones! Believe it or not, snow would warm things up a bit. But I’m not complaining! I’d rather walk on hard frozen ground, then slosh through thick snow or slip around on ice. I’ll take the cold.

It’s a bit more challenging keep the farm animals fed and watered. The bunnies water freezes every night so I run it under hot water in the morning and refill the bottle with warm water. The chickens have a heated water bowl. The big dogs have a heated water bucket. And there’s a trough heater in the horse trough that I turn on every night.
Cody enjoying the warm kitchen.
Then we just make sure all those animals have plenty to eat because food is fuel.
And the little dogs, well we’re just going outside for a bit of exercise, to potty and stretch their legs. It’s too cold to stay outside for very long.
This girl has a thick, warm coat and doesn’t even like to come in the house.
Stay safe and warm everyone!
