You guys have all been so good about participating in our “guessing game” with Jules! It’s been fun. Thanks for joining in. 🙂
So yesterday was the big day at the vet when we took the X-ray to find out how many little skeletons we could see. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in the X-ray quality (as I’ve seen better). But we (my sister-in-law was with me) darkened the room and started searching. I started counting and when I stopped at “four”, the doc said, “keep going”. She reached up to the X-ray and started pointing out little skulls, “one, two, three, four, five!”.
I was surprised! Before the X-ray, I was guessing that little body could only be holding about three. But like the vet said, the good thing about having a litter that size is that the pups will be smaller and easy (hopefully) to deliver. As opposed to a couple huge pups!
I tried to circle the little skulls for you. The one in the top left of the picture is kind of out of sight but you can see two bodies on that side. And that little bugger in the middle, hiding behind her backbone; well that’s the one I missed on my count. 🙂
Now if the X-ray would only show us genders and colors! 😉
