She did it! She delivered those pups like an old pro. Hard labor began Thursday night about 9:30-ish and the first pup entered the world at around 10:25pm. The fifth pup finished off the process just before 1:00 am.

Unfortunately we had a tiny tragedy in the middle of our joy. Puppy #3 was tiny and stillborn. I had to break the sack as Jules was busy working on something else. I rubbed, cleaned, wiped, etc the little one, but she never took a breath or looked viable.

But, we have four healthy puppies. And for that I am thankful!

I am monitoring their weight and they are all gaining and doing well. And mom is doing a fine job and packing away the groceries.

Here they are: three boys (two ruby, one Blenheim) and one Blenheim girl!
