All of Amber’s puppies are apricot or a “shade” of that. Frankie is our lightest and what you might call blond or cream. And just like the personalities I described in yesterday’s blog, Myrrh is at the other end of the color spectrum with the darkest shade of apricot. Star is just a shade above Frankie and is a light apricot color. Angel and Goldie similar to Myrrh’s coloring. She just might be a touch darker. Honestly, their all gorgeous and like most red/apricot will lighten up with age and grooming. The hair is darker at the tips and once a Cavapoo starts getting groomed those darker tips are shaved off and the lighter underneath is what you see. Usually the face stays darker since it’s not shaved.
Lightest and darkest
The two lightest
The three darkest
Darkest to lightest (although Goldie and Angel are so close it could be switched or a tie).
And some cute faces❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
And I’ve never had (that I recall) someone get their puppy home and a year later say, I wish I hadn’t gotten this puppy. ;P We all fall in love with the puppy we end up with! <3 So if you’re on the list to possibly get one of these puppies, don’t overthink the details. You can’t go wrong with any of these cuties!
Let’s talk size now. This litter has been pretty uniform from birth. We don’t have a ginormous one or a teeny one. They have stayed pretty much in the same size category. I would guess that they will all end up pretty close to the “average” size Cavapoo range of 15-20+ lbs as adults.
Their weights at five weeks are..
- Goldie-2# 7oz
- Frankie-3# 2 oz
- Myrrh-2# 9 oz
- Angel-2# 4 oz
- Star-2# 9 oz
