All of the babies are doing great! The Cavaliers are getting more and more trips outside to romp and explore in the backyard. This morning they went out into the covered dog run outside the back door after breakfast for a potty break while I cleaned and mopped the puppy room. They weren’t thrilled to be out there because it was chilly, but they did enjoy visiting with Zuma and Cody through the fence while they were there.

I’ve started feeding them in crates in two small groups as we work towards feeding them individually. Usually they are completely weaned off mom by about seven weeks of age. Mom is definitely spending less and less time with them but does like to check on them once in a while.
And Sky’s babies have switched from the UGOdog litter box to the box with pellets. They are getting rambunctious and needing more room so today they were moved up to the puppy room to a bigger play pen. Now they’ll be neighbors with their Cavalier cousins.

And we have some other new babies in the puppy room. But they don’t have fur, they have feathers! And they don’t whine or bark, they say “peep, peep”. And in their own fuzzy way they are just as cute as puppies!
We added some new chicks to the farm. A lot of my flock of chickens are getting older and not laying so well anymore so it was time for some new youngsters to add to the bunch of old timers.
The new Puppy Warmer puppy incubator came in handy when they were a bit chilled and stressed the first day or so.

We’ve got a big dog crate set up for them in the puppy room. They seem pretty content and are oh so cute! I just have to watch the adult dogs. Reba thinks fresh chicken sounds pretty yummy…. :O
